Update your app notification settings

In a busy work environment, keeping track of your tasks, training, and deadlines can be challenging. That’s where mobile app notifications come in handy. By configuring your mobile app notifications, you can make sure you never miss an important update, reminder, or deadline. Here’s how to set up and customise your notifications so you stay informed and organised.

How to update your notification settings

Steps

  1. Download and install the Ausmed app.
  2. Open the Ausmed app on your phone.
  3. Go to Settings in the bottom menu.
  4. Scroll to Notification Settings under the Account section.
  5. Allow or Disable under 'Would you like to receive push notifications'?
  6. Select Save to update your settings.
  7. You may also need to adjust your phone’s system settings to allow notifications for the app. If you're using an Android phone, click here. For iOS devices, click here.

Once your notifications are set up, you’ll start receiving alerts for important events, tasks, and deadlines. These notifications will help you stay on top of your responsibilities, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks.

Examples of when you might receive notifications:

    • Training reminders: If your organisation uses Ausmed, your manager may notify you when new training is assigned or when a deadline is approaching.
    • CPD reminders: If you're using the Ausmed Portfolio, you can customise your notification preferences specifically for reminders to document your CPD. See below for more information.

Troubleshooting notification issues

If you’re not receiving notifications as expected, here’s what to check:

  • Ensure you're logged into the app: Even if you're not regularly using the app, you need to be logged in to receive notifications.
  • Push notifications enabled: Double-check that push notifications are turned on in the app. Follow the steps above under "How to update your notification settings."
  • Enable notifications on your device: Make sure notifications are enabled in your phone’s system settings. If you're using an Android phone, click here to learn how to manage your notification settings. For iOS devices, click here.
  • App not updated: If you’re using an older version of the app, notifications may not work properly. Update the app to the latest version via the App Store or Google Play. For instructions on updating Android, click here, and for iOS, click here.
